This video is the very first rough cut. Looking back at it now, it highlights how much of an improvement we have made in the final cut. For example, we did not have any background music in this cut. However, in the final cut, we have added dramatic background music, which works very well with the piece. We also did not have any titles in this cut, whereas we now have relevant titles, which work great in a crime film. We also cut out all of the diegetic sound in this cut, which can make it appear blank and audio dead. Therefore in the final cut, we thought it would be worth using some of the diegetic sound, just to add some depth to the soundscape. Okay now obviously weather has to exist, I know that, but why can it never be how we want it, when we want it?
One of the issues that we came across when filming our project was that the weather in Hastings was actually nice for once! Most people would obviously not be complaining about this, but Jasmine and I would have liked the weather to be moody and cloudy for our film, so we are now going to have to work in post-production to ensure that we achieve the finish that we want. |
